A glimpse of our activities from last year

…. we visited The Cedars at Heyson Road, Hahndorf. The Cedars was the historic home of the renowned Australian artist Sir Hans Heyson. Our visit included seeing Hans Heyson’s studio, Australia’s oldest artist studio. In addition we explored Nora Heyson’s studio as well is the Heyson family home and saw some 200 original works n the studios and the house.  In addition we spent time in the charming gardens and wandered along the Artist’s Walk and discover some of Heyson’s favourite paintings.
Following our visit to The Cedars we had lunch at the Hahndorf Old Mill.

More recently we had a visit from

Rae Campbell, Koala Mum, along with one of her ‘young’ when she presented her experiences with caring for Koalas and in August a group experienced early history with a tour over the “City of Adelaide” Clipper Ship.

In August we had a most successful trip to Willunga with lunch at the Alma Hotel and in particular The Pryers entertaining us as they took us down memory lane in song. And in September we visited Stangate House and Gardens  in Algate followed by lunch at the Aldgate Pump Hotel.

In October we enjoyed a bus trip to Monarto Safari Park including lunch, tour and lots of fellowship.

November it was morning tea at the Shea Oak Cafe at Belair, a tour of Old Government House in the Belair National Park and lunch at the Belair Hotel.

And to complete our year we had a fantastic time on the Princess Cruise looking at the Christmas lights at West Lakes whilst enjoying a very enjoyable Christmas Dinner.
